My practice aims to misplace and decontextualise any common matter, object, situation from its accepted and conventional context – in an attempt to assign it a new, and unexpected, meaning or semantics. I often play with absurdity, balancing between banality and ambiguity, trying to point to a clear concept. I keep my interventions to a minimum, allowing work to 'speak' on its own. This process challenges my own perception and view of the world as much as the audience's.
